Are you interested in understanding the carbon footprint of your surgical care pathway? Do you want to identify the carbon hotspots to target for change?
We are looking for collaborators to be part of our patient care pathway project at the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition. In association with Greener NHS, we have produced the first guidance on how to appraise the environmental sustainability of care pathways, with the aim of helping clinicians decarbonise their specialties.

Utilising our new online knowledge hub, we will support you in calculating an approximate pathway carbon footprint, enabling hotspot identification for focused quality improvement. The output should assist you in engaging with local stakeholders for implementation of sustainable changes in your department.
Our aim is to build an online repository of pathway case studies for cross-specialty knowledge sharing. There will be an opportunity for some case studies to be presented at the next RCSEng Sustainability Congress
