Head of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit. I Joined the SDU from my role as Chief Executive of the social enterprise NetPositive Ltd and several regional Chair roles with the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership and East Midlands Chamber of Commerce. I have spent 17 years working in sustainable development, 10 years in leadership roles. I led a small team to produce the 1st full carbon managment plans for any NHS trusts in the UK, the regional resource footprint for the NHS in the East Midlands and authoured the Nottingham City 2020 Energy Strategy. I have worked for 8 years supporting NHS organisations, supply chains and communities to develop positive effective solutions to sustainable development. My work, projects and partnerships have been recognised with the Queens Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, The BMJ Award for Sustainable Healthcare, The International Green Award, the Guardian University Award for Busines Partnership and others. I am a Chartered Environmentalist.
