I’m sure that Coronavirus is on everyones minds at the moment. So for this post I wanted to pool some resources that I found interesting/useful about Coronavirus, Climate Change & OT. Linking Coronavirus & Climate Change

 

Occupational Therapy and Coronavirus

  • WFOT Occupational Therapy and the COVID-19 Pandemic - information and resources - Occupational Therapists will be working with people to develop strategies to facilitate continued access to their occupations, including, but not limited to; individual, family, community, social and environmental adaptation, mental health, assistive technology and telehealth. WFOT has pulled resources to assist OT's and others providing services during this pandemic. 
  • WFOT Occupational Therapy International Online Network (OTION) - WFOT has established a dedicated FREE online platform to support requests to network, share and develop resources regarding the impact of COVID-19 and its relevance to the Occupational Therapy profession
  • Royal Collage of Occupational Therapists - Staying well when social distancing  - We’ve issued advice to support those who are undertaking social distancing to get through the next few weeks.

 

Mental Health & Coronavirus

  • WHO Mental Health and Psychosocial Considerations During COVID-19 Outbreak - These mental health considerations were developed by the WHO’s Department of Mental Health and Substance Use as messages targeting different groups to support for mental and psychosocial well-being during COVID-19 outbreak.
  • IASC Interim Briefing Note Addressing Mental Health and Psychosocial Aspects of COVID-19 Outbreak (developed by the IASC’s Reference Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) -This briefing note summarizes key mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) considerations in relation to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The brief was last updated February 2020. -
