Yesterday saw the launch of the Greener AHP Hub.  This was one year on from the NHS becoming the world's first health service to commit to net zero carbon.

Allied Health Professionals are the third largest clincial workforce in the NHS.  The hub outlines the importance of being a Greener AHPunderstanding environmental sustainability, and describes AHPs already practicing within sustainable models of care.

The hub examines four priority areas where AHPs are well placed to lead on net zero: public health and preventiondigital transformationreducing environmental impact of equipment, medicines and resources; and food and nutrition. These areas follow themes that emerged from last year's AHP sustainability survey.

There are also individual, team and systems level actions for AHPs to move towards net zero carbon.

Please spread the word about the Greener AHP Hub, and let us know if you have examples of how you've used the actions to practice more sustainably.
