This is a 3 day live event by the Association for Medical Education in Europe, using an innovative 3D platform that you can access from anywhere.

The event is hosting 18 Best Practice Sessions with live Q&A and 38 Masterclass sessions providing practical advice, these include:

  • Teaching Sustainable Healthcare through Quality Improvement
  • Educational response to Covid19
  • Exploring Sustainable health care education
  • Sustaining the move to online teaching and learning before and after Covid19
  • Healing the planet: living into the future of health professions education.

This is what constitutes the ESH ‘theme’ at the AMEE Virtual Conference next week:


  1. Masterclass, Monday, 7 Sept, Stream 3, MC4, BST 10h30-11h30: Frances Mortimer, Stuart D’Arch Smith and Siobhan Parslow-Williams: Teaching Sustainable Healthcare through quality improvement
  2. Best Practice Session (repeated), Tuesday, Stream 1, BP 7.1 (BST 08h00-0900) and BP 7.2 (BST 14h14-15h15), with four presentations: Sarah, Nicole, Michelle and SanYuMay followed by a 20-min Q&A session.   
  3. Short communications (e.g. Lynne, Omnia, various SusQI presentations, etc.): These 12 or so presentations will be on demand and will be either OD1-OD5. Below is Tracey’s explanation about how these will work:
