FINAL CALL: Free training workshop on advising patients about air pollution

It your last chance to join a free training workshop on how to advise patients on air pollution. Our final workshop of this series will be held in Liverpool on Monday 9th March from 14.00-17.00 - some places still available.

In this pilot-project, run jointly by the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change and Global Action Plan (the group behind the Clean Air Hospital Framework), we're looking for nurses to become Clean Air Champions to help us to understand how and when health professionals could incorporate advice on air pollution into the patient pathway.

We're aiming to develop an approach that could be implemented nationally.

In this workshop, we'll cover the following topics:

  • The health impacts of air pollution and what patients can do to protect themselves
  • Approaches to sharing this knowledge, and advising your patients about air pollution
  • How to increase your impact by sharing this project within your organisation and enabling colleagues to give air pollution advice to their patients

Building on this workshop, we invite you to take part in a 2-month trial to test new messages and materials to find the most impactful ways of sharing air pollution advice with your patients. Your feedback will inform our report to Defra - our part funders on this project.
