Sustainable Development Strategy for the Health and Care System 2014 - 2020 : Consultation

The Sustainable Development Unit is running a consultation and engagement programme in order to produce a new Sustainable Development Strategy for the Health, Public health and Social Care System to 2020.
The consultation closes at 5.00pm on 31 May 2013.  The new strategy will be launched in January 2014 and will cover the period 2014 to 2020.

Building on the Carbon Reduction Strategy the new strategy is not just for the NHS but embraces the whole health, public health and social care system. It will define where we need to be on the path to sustainable health care by 2020 and the measures and targets against which progress will be measured.

The consultation can be found at http://www.sdu.nhs.uk/sustainable-health/engagement-resources.aspx

This is just a reminder to complete in the next few days if you can. We understand the SDU has had a tremendous response from institutions and individuals. This is a invaluable opportunity to help 'future proof' the system and ensure your views on the most important, practical and priority issues are heard.
