A online consultation over plans to create a new £4.5 million renal dialysis unit in Telford is taking place.

With virtual meetings on MS Teams being held last year and continuting this week.

Concerns and comments have been raised by patients, and stakeholders to that all points are taken before the transfer to the new premisis. The local Kidney Patients Association has been heavily involved in the discussion.

This included the Carbon Footprint impact and assesment of the change, and accessability by public transport. While most patients use hospital transport the new site should enable easier use of public transport and walking/cycling from the centre of Telford.
A cost of £4.5 million is stated as the budget.
