Upgrade of our Australian Green Dialysis website

Dear 'Green' UK ...

This is to let your members know that we launched an update/upgrade of our Australian Green Dialysis website during 'Renal Week', a 5 day meeting that encompassed the 50th annual scientific meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology and the annual meeting of the Renal Society of Australasia held in joint session in Melbourne from 23rd - 27th August 2014.

The website can be found at http://www.greendialysis.org

It was redeveloped with the generous assistance of Fresenius Medical Care (Australia). It offers a number of simple "how to do" sections on water, power, waste and re-design. While our "Blog" facility is not yet working, it will soon be functional - NB: some sections are still to be finished as it became a race at the end to get it done in time. I hope that once that is up and running, some cross-pollination of ideas and experiences might follow between the green nephrology team at your end and the green dialysis team here.

I hope you will draw this site to the attention of your members, will encourage them to visit, will ask them to feed back to us what they think of the site, and will ask them to help get some exposure to it via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc., so that word gets out that there IS a better, clearer way. They may also like to look at our green bibliography and help us build this up with relevant (but missed) papers from the UK end.

Cheers ... and keep up your good work

John Agar
