We would to invite you to join our FREE COVID-19: Greener Practice for a healthy recovery online webinar.

The COVID-19 crisis has forced us to consider anew how planetary and patient health are woven together. Just as we have needed to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases in order not to breach the life-support capacity of the NHS, we urgently need to bend the curve in greenhouse gas emissions in order not to breach the life support systems of the planet. What does this mean for General Practice and what can we learn from the recent transformation we have undergone?

This webinar will provide an overview of the health impacts of the climate crisis and how the actions need to mitigate the climate crisis and improve patient health are completely aligned. We will look at the carbon hot spots of general practice (prescribing, travel and estates) and consider how practical measures to reduce these hot spots also have huge opportunities to improve health and wellbeing now and in the future.

This first webinar will be followed by in-depth webinars on the areas for action, such as lifestyle medicine, inhaler switches, nature-based social prescribing and zero carbon general practice.
