Ian Mackenzie is embedded in NHS Lothian as the Green Health Programme Manager and is working with the Edinburgh and Lothian Health Foundation to lead the delivery of the Greenspace and Health Strategic Framework for Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Having worked in the environmental sector for the past 10 years Ian has a strong track record of developing impactful programmes. He has collaborated with a wide range of partners to achieve action and worked at multiple levels to connect policy to practice and influence key decision makers.
In previous roles Ian was a programme manager for the Scottish Wildlife Trust and led development of the Cumbernauld Living Landscape from concept through to an award winning multi partner project. He has a passion for connecting people to nature on their doorstep and unlocking the benefits this can bring.
