Having once worked at CSH, I have taken a lot of the principles and tried to incorporate them into the work I do (mainly voluntary). So I have trained to run health walks and currently run a fortnightly walk for the over-50s attached to a coffee morning. My plan is to start more once I have more walk leaders in the Marston area of Oxford where I live.
For the past two years, I have been fundraising for a garden at the school where my children go, because of the myriad benefits of green space on health and wellbeing.
I'm also a member of my local patient participation group, and co-organised a Saturday workshop on keeping mentally well, where I spoke about Moodscope, an online tool that helps people measure, track and share mood.
My paid work is editing country insight reports for Dun & Bradstreet.
