I am on my final year of Adult Nursing (MSc) at University of Nottingham. My academic background concerned, I came from different disciplines such as MA in International Development (where ‘sustainability’ commonly mentioned), PGD in Public Health, BSc in Agriculture/Plant Science and Diploma in Forestry Science. Internationally, I worked for ministry of Agriculture in Ethiopia as Head of District Agricultural extension and Forest technician and with NGOs as a senior Coordinator of an Integrated Community Development Programs (ICDP) mainly focusing on Agriculture and Natural resource management, Preventive Oriented Primary Healthcare including HIV, functional adult literacy, water resource development and community initiated micro-projects (income generation schemes). For the last 16 years in UK , I worked with local authorities, charities and other sectors predominately in housing and drugs and alcohol services. I hope my time with the CSH will open up a new learning opportunity how to sustain the healthcare in our challenging world.
