Calling all #GreenerAHPs: the HCPC has just launched it's formal consultation on the SCPEs.

It's great to see that the hard work in the pre-consultation period has paid off and sustainability is being specifically consulted on as part of the revisions (albeit not quite making the top 5, but perhaps this is because they recognise it is a cross cutting theme?!).

Taken from the HCPC website:

The proposed revisions fall under five key themes:

  1. equality diversity and inclusion;
  2. communication with colleagues, service users and carers;
  3. duty of candour;
  4. upskilling and training responsibilities; and
  5. managing existing health conditions and disabilities in the workplace.

An additional theme – sustainability in health and care – is also discussed in the consultation to explore future revision to the Standards.

To ensure that your voice is heard, sign up to attend their consultation workshops - there is one specifically on sustainability on May 22nd at 5pm (GMT) Consultation workshop: Standards of conduct, performance and ethics - sustainability | (hcpc-uk.org) and ensure you respond to the formal consultation before it closes on 16 June at 23:59 here: Reviewing the standards of conduct, performance and ethics | (hcpc-uk.org)
