Each month I'm going to be posting something I've found useful as I learn about sustainable healthcare. This month it's the Climate Clinic podcast - a great resource from the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education. It covers the latest updates and papers relating to climate and health, as well as interviews with a wide variety of professionals from around the world, and advice on bringing about change in our own practice.

Episode 8, from the 21st March, is on Low Carbon Respiratory Care, and features our very own network member and co-lead Dr Alex Wilkinson. It covers all you need to know about the climate impact of asthma care, including the importance of prevention and good asthma control, the huge climate effects of metered-dose inhalers, and examples of more sustainable asthma care. It also considers sustainable care for patients with COPD, something that I've heard much less about before. Whether you are an expert in sustainability or just starting out, I would really recommend listening to this episode for a great summary of sustainable asthma (and COPD) care.
