The Green Skills Gap: Are We Ready For Sustainable Change?

Please join us on Tuesday 8th July (12:30-13:15) to hear from a panel of NHS Sustainability experts, ahead of the launch of Cohort 3 of the Sustainable Healthcare Academy later this Autumn.  

The title of our session is ‘The Green Skills Gap: Are We Ready For Sustainable Change?’ and our expert panel is:  

  • Claire Keen – Corporate Partnerships Manager (Healthcare), IEMA  
  • Rosy Bennett – Sustainability Manager, NHS Supply Chain  
  • Tim Simmance – Assoc. Director of Sustainability & Growth, Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes ICB  
  • Simon Baker (Chair) – Director, LDN Apprenticeships   

In the session we’ll discuss:  

  • How different organisations are using a range of options to embed capability across their organisation  
  • The importance of framing sustainability as value-add, and aligning it to core NHS priorities, and the Government’s 10-Year Health Plan  
  • The role of green skills within a long-term workforce plan  
  • How the levy-funded Sustainable Healthcare Academy is supporting a broad range of NHS colleagues across clinical and non-clinical professions
