Connecting, developing, and inspiring sustainable practice in palliative care, across professions and the NHS/hospice worlds.
How we started
Our network started the year of the COP 26 Climate Conference in Glasgow. We wanted to bring together the skills and learning we have across the country in recognising the importance of sustainability in healthcare.
We know that Palliative Care is at heart a very sustainable way to practice medicine. We can share some of our skills with others- for example de-prescribing and limiting unnecessary investigations/appointments. We can also use our communication skills to bring climate change into the clinical workplace.
PallCareSusNet now meets every few months to discuss examples of sustainability in practice, share ideas (and frustrations) and learn from each other. You can contact us at pallcaresusnet@gmail.com
