The UK government green paper published in 2018 stated," Prevention is better than cure." It stated that for every £1 spent on prevention, £ 12 was saved long term; it was then £14, and it is rising.

We need to promote prevention. It takes a year to teach nurses to provide prevention and service that potentially reduces General Anaesthetic admissions for children by over 80%, saving over £30 million. Instead, we are aiming to train dentists to deliver treatment. It takes them over five years, and the business model is now based more on what the few want than what the majority need and either can't afford or have no access to.
