This project was started by staff at Warneford Hospital from the psychology, well-being, and occupational therapy departments for the secure acute ward for men along with other interested wards. Walking from the ward to the Warneford Meadow, is an integral part of a greater outdoor focused group. Depending on staffing, 1 - 1.5 hour walks take place on a daily or weekly basis and may or may not include picking up trash and having an ecology lesson about the environment. This leads to social connection within the group and a greater appreciation for the green space.
