Green Walking case study - South London and Maudsley: Forest Therapy group

Staff at Bethlem Royal Hospital initiated this forest walking group for patients from units across the site to use green spaces within the hospital's grounds.  This group encourages mindfulness and integrated forest therapy.  Interested patients are referred to the group and have a risk assessment to determine their fit for the walk.  The group is evaluated with before and after questionnaires and offers patients and staff a chance to socialise and be outside of the clinical setting.
