Nursing and Biodiversity literature round-up

Bethany Clarke
Bethany Clarke • 11 May 2023

As part of an elective placement experience with the CSH and the University of Nottingham we were tasked to review the literature on nursing and biodiversity and create a round-up of the literature from the last couple of years for other network users to browse. The key themes we identified were;

  • Diversity of microbial life
  • Rising prevalence of zoonotic infections as a result of ecosystem disruption, and the potential for nurses to respond to crises and support prevention and control
  • The importance of green spaces for public health and well-being
  • Impacts of food sources on health and wellbeing

The literature found has been organised by theme, and each entry includes the abstract.

Hello Beth!

I found it really interesting working in partnership with you on this resource - I hope other people find it an easy place to view current literature (last 2 years only) on the topic of nursing and biodiversity (saves a huge database search).
