Air Pollution has been all over the news this week, with the expansion of the ULEZ Clean Air zone to include the whole of London. This is a great public health intervention but has been politicised and met with some resistance. Other cities such as Bristol, Edinburgh and Birmingham also have clean air zones, and they are being adopted internationally.
As health professionals we need to be able to describe the devastating impacts of air pollution and the health and planetary benefits of moving away from fossil fuel burning vehicles to greener ways of travelling. Here are a few resources to help you:

- Every breath we take: the lifelong impact of air pollution | RCP London Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
- Health effects of low emission and congestion charging zones: a systematic review - The Lancet Public Health
