Listening to feedback from our members and sustainable healthcare education representatives, we have identified that assessing sustainable healthcare is a troublesome area, and people feel out of their depths writing questions for assessment. The consequence of this is that sustainability gets left out, and students do not feel this is an area that is a priority area in their future careers.
To help address this, we have organised a videolinked workshop on the 12th Dec, running from 10:00-16:30. Three sessions will address MCQs, group assessments and OSCE questions, and will be introduced by a speaker, connected via videolink. After the introduction, there will be a chance for local discussions and brainstorming questions, before reconnecting and feeding back to other hubs in a videolinked group.
The best format we suggest is a small number of colleagues gathering together at a 'hub' most convenient, perhaps a room at the medical school which has videolink connections. We think this may be best for face-to-face discussion, however working as an individual will work just as well, or if you would like to remotely connect with a colleague for question writing. Those individuals attending might like to partner up by videolink with someone from a different institution, which we can help facilitate.
If you have any questions about the event, please email frances.mortimer@sustainablehealthcare.org.uk(link sends e-mail).
If you would like to register to attend, please send your name, position, medical school / university, which hub you will be using/proposing and email address to: johanna.brooke@sustainablehealthcare.org.uk(link sends e-mail).
