Last year an excellent conference was held in London on the health and security perspectives of climate change http://climatechange.bmj.com/ where senior military officials and healthcare professionals joined forces for the first time around the urgency of climate change. The main speakers have now written articles to be published by the BMJ in a Spotlight Supplement.

All articles are freely available, so that you can spread the word and encourage everyone you know to read these important articles.

"Time is of the essence: this is well understood by health professionals. After any serious trauma, a patient’s chances of recovery are much greater if treatment is started within one hour of the event: the so called golden hour. Our traumatised globe is nearing the end of its golden hour.  For the sake of present and future generations, we have to move quickly for our interventions to successfully heal the globe."  Robin Stott, Climate and Health Council.
