The British Thoracic Society (BTS) is calling for applicants to join a task and finish group to develop a BTS Sustainability Toolkit for Respiratory Professionals.
Following the publication of the BTS Position Statement on Sustainability and the Environment earlier this year, it was decided that a BTS Sustainability Toolkit should be produced. This toolkit will aim to help respiratory clinicians develop their knowledge of environmental issues, and support respiratory services to prevent and mitigate the harmful effects of climate change. The toolkit will aim to bring together existing relevant information as well as develop new resources.
The BTS is hoping to recruit volunteers from members across the multi-disciplinary team, including physicians (at both trainee and consultant level), nurses, and allied health professionals.
The group will meet no more than twice (as hybrid meetings at BTS Head Office and via Teams) with the remaining work completed by email.
For more information or to apply, visit the BTS website. The closing date for applications is 5pm, Monday 7 October 2024.
