In the next few weeks, we plan to start a series of online networking events for this group. These sessions will give us an opportunity to network, discuss our practice, share ideas and learn.

The plan is for a short presentation/talk to be included in each session, perhaps presenting a project or concept in sustainability in EM.

My question to you all is, what would you like to see on the agenda?

What is expected as Emergency care? not everyone who had "perceived " emergency or flare up of chronic problem or even convenience care can be accommodated in Emergency care. when we talk about  emergency care sustainable network, we need to understand, Emergency care is limited and has to be priorities or rationed to the pt in greatest need (time critical). The definition of time critical is- when medical intervention is not done in time, it would lead to irreversible and permanent damage to clinical course of the disease.

The only way to sustain Emergency care is increase staffing level x2 in next 2-4yrs and by x5 in next 5-10yrs.

Thanks. Think we can all agree that it is more sustainable if patients can access healthcare through the most appropriate route depending on their need, rather than Emergency Care being a back-up/catchall for patients who can't access care through another route.... but perhaps it is outside of our remit as Emergency Care healthcare providers to change the whole system?

The SusNet events will aim to focus on environmental sustainability within emergency healthcare. Is there anything you are interested in discussing in that area?
