CPD (continuing professional development) points / certificate

Have any of the networks produced and distributed a certificate of attendance in order for people to claim CPD points? I thought this may increase attendance at our network events.
When we do webinars at Manchester Foundation Trust, we encourage those who attend to add it to their on-line learning portfolio - they can claim these points rather than us giving out certificates.
We also encourage people to use the RCOT online CPD tool after events as this is a quick way to keep HCPC up to date and also be able to look back for CV etc.
I am not sure that HCPC use CPD points, perhaps this is for a different regulatory body?
