Nature Rehabilitation Ranger
We are seeking an experienced ranger to unlock the health benefits of our estate and lead our practical conservation work. NHS Lothian Charity’s award-winning green health programme is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of NHS patients, staff and communities and tackling the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss. Through our programmes and partnerships, we deliver green health activity and enhancements across the NHS Lothian estate.
We are looking for a practically capable, highly organised, and motivated individual to support NHS Lothian to unlock the potential of its estate at the Astley Ainslie hospital and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Working in partnership with NHS teams, volunteers, and the local community you will deliver greenspace enhancements and activities to benefit the health of patients, visitors, and staff.
To be considered for this role you must have significant experience of developing and delivering land management and nature-based health activity.

Location: Astley Ainslie Hospital with regular travel across Lothian to hospital sites
Salary: £30,229 - £37,664 (pro rata)
Hours Per Week: 30
Contract: 3 Year – Fixed Term
