For information - The decision has come through - Sraha has been suspended for 5 months with a review at the end to see if she has engaged in ' misconduct' again - which she almost certainly will have done as she is committed to climate action. It is still important people are aware even after the decision as there will be push back on this. The BMJ have already come out strongly in support of Sarah. There are further doctors up in front of tribunals later this year so the precedent and the public response is really important, particularly as their decision is based on the view that her actions undermine public trust in the profession. They presented no evidence for this and a strong push back could demonstrate that the opposite is true. To maintain trust we need to take a stand on what is the most important health issue of our time
I'm so furious about this I'm literally struggling to concentrate at work.
