You may have thought we've been a bit quiet here at the Palliative Care Sustainability Network.
In fact we've been hard at work on our Greener Palliative Care Award scheme. We'll be launching this at the Hospice UK conference later on this month. The Association for Palliative Medicine have agreed to host the Award on their website- keep an eye on their sustainability page.
We'll send a message via email and on our Centre for Sustainable Healthcare network page later in the month to confirm we are open to receive expressions of interest in joining the Award scheme- we'll be starting with 10 pilot sites. We're always open to more help in running the scheme, so if you are keen to join our Development or Assessment Groups please do let us know via this questionnaire.
In other news, you may have heard about the Government's consultation on the future of the NHS. Please do take part- and make sure to mention the need for environmental sustainability to be a cornerstone of future planning. Consultation link here: Change NHS
