Hello all,
I'm Jason Gandhi, the current environmentally sustainable anaesthetic fellow.
This is the first informal open sharing hour, happening on the 14th October at 7pm, between members of the Association of Anaesthetists and Centre for Sustainable healthcare. It will be an opportunity to openly discuss your thoughts, ideas and concerns that you may have with what you see on an everyday basis. We hope there to be a good mix of different professions working in the theatre environment willing to share their thoughts, experiences and ideas.
Any idea is a good idea! It can be around anaesthetic gases, sustainable anaesthetic devices, sustainable surgical tools, theatre waste, ethical concerns, water use...anything!!
Bring a brew, sit back and enjoy getting to know your greener colleagues whilst sharing your ideas!

Thanks for your message! I've amended the eventbrite dates; thanks for questioning.
At present, there is no specific agenda as this will be more of an introduction, meet and greet, and a ideas generation discussion as I believe this will be one of the first of this kind in this group.
However! If there is a specific theme that yourself/people want to discuss/focus on I'd be more than happy to dedicate some time in the hour but there wont be a specific speaker with knowledge in that area - it'll be upto all of us to bring our knowledge and learnt experience to help one another.
You can suggest a topic here or via email on envirofellow@aagbi.org
All suggestions are welcome!
If we find there are general themes that we all need help with this will be something for us to go away with and the next time there is a 'Greener theatres Hour' it can be the focus with a dedicated speaker...

Apologies, I am not able to attend tonight...preparing for the Carbon Footprinting course tomorrow! Would definetly like to attend the next one and agree they should definetly be regular! Thank you very much for organising! do keep us posted on how it goes, what is discussed etc!
