Hospital Foodservice waste audit tool

Hi, my name is Nathan Cook and I am a PhD candidate at Monash University in Australia investigating food waste in the hospital foodservice setting.

I have provided the link to my new research and first PhD publication titled "A systematic review of food waste audit methods in hospital foodservices - development of a consensus pathway food waste audit tool"

Some key points below: 

1. This review has located and synthesised the avail-able information on aggregate food waste audit methods developed for and used in hospital foodservices

2. Seventeen documents were consolidated into a newly developed, and first of its kind consensus pathway food waste audit tool to support hospital foodservices to conduct routine food and food- related waste audits.

3. The regular use of the consensus tool will allow hospital foodservices to accurately measure food and food- related waste, identify problem areas, apply reduction strategies, and re- audit their foodservice to continuously demonstrate changes in food waste over time
