At UHBW many of the procedures carried out in Gynae outpatients are done without creating a sterile field. However, when the same procedures are carried out in theatre a sterile field is created.
I'm looking for any information regarding research that has already been carried out, practices in other Trusts and any guidelines/SOPs related to this topic.

I was also wondering the same thing, as it was presented at the Green Surgery conference this week not gowning for hand surgery.
I was going to look for information on this topic as there are many gynae/obs procedures - MVA/EVAC, hysteroscopy, assisted vaginal birth
