Administering appropriate parenteral medications in dialysis care by IV push, instead of infusion, saves time, money, and plastic. We aim to expand beyond IV iron to appropriate IV antimicrobials for additional stewardship in our provincial renal network.
Changing practice can be a time-consuming, it is hoped that this publication will help others adopt this practice, and we welcome insights to any similar initiatives.

Certainly at SatH its 99 % push except for home therapies patients who may not come in for a session just to receive iron.
