A group of us from the SHE network are presenting a sympoisum on sustainable healthcare at the AMEE conference in Barcelona this year (Sarah mentioned this in a recent post). The symposium will be held on 30 August.
For those who are not able to be physically present at the conference, we have designed our presentation to involve real-time contributions from participants from around the world. At the end of this symposium, we hope to distribute an online handout for participants. The idea is to give people who are new to including environmentally sustainable healthcare in their curricula, some examples of how it can be done.
This spreadsheet (https://goo.gl/hAQ27n) lists the teaching intervention, where it was attempted, challenges faced, and solutions. We have a few examples from the UK so far - could you please help us by adding examples of good or innovative practice in teaching environmentally sustinable heatlhcare to medical students?
This is an openly accessible Google document - simply click the link, make a note of the teaching intervention, and add a contact person or website if possible.
And do join us for the live streaming of the symposium on 30 August 2016 from 4pm to 5.30pm Spanish time! Here is the link to sign up to participate online: https://goo.gl/y1B4Hf
Hope to 'see' many of you soon!
