Changing the future for CKD in Scotland - Kidney Research UK
It does a great job of highlighting that we know those at risk of CKD/progression; that we have diagnostic and monitoring tests and risk scores (KFRE) to optimally identify those patients; that we have interventions to delay ESKD (ACEi/flozins, control of BP/DM/vascular diseaese), and that variation in CKD management must be tackled to optimise prevention, improve health outcomes, and reduce environmental and societal burden.
The report above (Changing the future for chronic kidney disease in Scotland) has been well recieved and has lead to a ministerial roundtable event happening 7 March 2023 at the Scottish Parliament, demonstrating the power of collaboration with the third sector and industry.
