Net Zero impact statement for digital health and care projects.

Has anyone pulled together a Net Zero/Sustainability impact statement for a digital and/or Care project?   We are looking to create one for our projects which will look at how a digital solution will positively contribute towards net zero carbon emission targets.   Thanks!

Hi Kara. We don’t have a statement of any sort but we’ve recently written a proposal to (1) estimate the emission factor of telemedicine and (2) reduction in emission from telemedicine relative to in-person care. Happy to connect and exchange ideas if helpful.
Best regards,
Sarin

Hello. I have done teleradiology for a long time and currently do. I am very much interested in the topic of digital tools and sustainibility. Thanks

If there are resources that can be openly shared please do share them also via this network as this is probably a topic that many people are interested in - thanks!

Hello, in pathology we are moving to digital storage of images previously stored as glass slides. This involves three fundamental changes: a) increased speed of retrieval (improved care), b) decreased vehicle transport of glass slides from a storage facility (decreased emissions), c) electronic storage of digital images (increased energy use), d) increased rate of slide of review due to ease of access (some improved care with increased information, increased ease of research, and increased energy requirement with increased rate of image retrieval / case). We are part way through this process but would love to partner with a group doing a similar analysis elsewhere. What is the net benefit (or is there one) in digital slide storage?
