In April Healthcare Without Harm Europe published their report on the potential health risks associated endocrine disrupting chemicals in medical devices.  Phthalates are commonly used to soften PVC-based medical devices and bisphenol A is used in many plastics some of which are found in medical devices.

The report sets out the hazardous nature of the chemicals, current relevant EU legislation, alternatives to both phthalates and bisphenol A and provides case studies of best practice across Europe.

The report is available on Healthcare Without Harm Europe's Website at: https://noharm-europe.org/edcs-report
