NIV and Sleep Diagnostics

Hi everyone,

I'm currently supporting the development of a new National NHS Supply Chain Framework for Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), CPAP and Sleep Diagnostics.

We're keen to ensure that sustainability is embedded throughout the framework and would love to hear from organisations that are:

  • Running sustainability projects involving NIV, CPAP, high-flow therapy or sleep diagnostics
  • Looking at reducing waste, improving circularity, repair and reuse programmes, or reducing carbon emissions within respiratory or sleep services
  • Redesigning care pathways to improve sustainability and patient outcomes
  • Exploring home monitoring, remote follow-up, digital solutions, or other approaches that reduce travel and environmental impact
  • Working with suppliers on greener products, packaging, logistics, refurbishment or end-of-life management

We would be very interested in understanding what's working well, the challenges you've faced, and any lessons learned.

As part of this work, NHS Supply Chain may be able to support projects through:

  • Provision of NHS Supply Chain purchasing and usage data
  • Access to national-level market intelligence and insights
  • Facilitating engagement with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Sharing learning and best practice across the NHS
  • Exploring opportunities to embed successful sustainability initiatives within the future framework

If you're involved in a project, or know of a team doing innovative work in this area, I'd be grateful if you could get in touch. We are keen to work collaboratively to ensure the new framework actively supports NHS sustainability goals while continuing to deliver excellent patient care.

Thanks in advance.
