The previous Green Nephrology fellowships have shown that leading a move to sustainable healthcare is a great educational opportunity for an individual, as well as being an exciting project to be involved with.

Around the country, a number of clinical fellowship schemes are now running to provide clinicians with just such an educational experience. These are often open to clinicians working within an NHS Trust, who apply to the scheme with a proposal for a quality improvement project based in that Trust.

This is a great opportunity to design projects which link sustainability with quality improvement, and to provide renal nurses, trainee nephrologists and other clinicians with an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in sustainable healthcare.

Please!

1. Consider whether your Trust/department could host a fellow and benefit from a sustainable quality improvement project - get in touch!

2. Consider whether you would like to join a fellowship scheme and link your fellowship with the Green Nephrology programme - get in touch!

3. Look out for programmes advertised in your deanery.

NHS South Central is currently advertising to appoint 6 Fellows in the Wessex Deanery and 6 in the Oxford Deanery, CLOSING DATE 24 JULY - PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU OR YOUR DEPARTMENT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN DESIGNING AN APPLICATION LINKED TO GREEN NEPHROLOGY.
