Reviewing ways to reduce the “colossal amount” of greenhouse gases generated by PPE supplied to the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic at https://sustainablehealthcare.org.uk/news/2021/03/reviewing-ways-reduce…

Proposes ways in which the impact of personal protective equipment (PPE) use on the  environment may be reduced in the future including reusing face shields, recycling PPE waste, and producing PPE in the UK

However, reducing the amount of PPE used , may have the greatest effect,

Im very interested in the overuse of gloves in podiatry and healthcare generally.  Has anyone (pre COVID)  tried to reduce glove use in practice and how have patients reacted? How will we go back to trying to reduce use and reassure patients post COVID?
