Hi, has anyone here had any experience of creating a questionnaire aimed at finding out service users' worries and/ or priorities surrounding the climate crisis and sustainability in healthcare, specifically maternity care?

I'm also interested in finding examples of staff-facing questionnaires around the same topics.

Would you mind sharing examples with me if you have them?

Hi Aly,
As part of our SBRI maternity project a lived experience group has been set up by RCOG. We have had our first meeting (10 members) and gathered feedback on sustainability and equity. These are internal meeting documents but I am happy to summarise and send to you if helpful?

Areas that were highlighted as sustainability concerns for those with lived experience of maternity services:
- Breastfeeding support (or lack of)
- Appointments not being grouped together- increased journeys to access scans/check ups/tests
- Poor systems- duplicate tests/missing appointments due to poor communication and letters delayed in post
- Delayed discharge
- Bounty packs- loads of rubbish in them, no sustainable nappy options and not tailored to needs
- Medication wastage
- Incontinence/bleeding pads
-Wasted food with set meal times in hospital- don't fit with birthing or caring for baby whilst in patient
-Car seats- need one to discharge even if don't own car- poor info on how to travel without a car
-Lack of information about sustainable options/choices
