The Rockefeller Foundation in partnership with the World Health Organization conducted in-depth interviews with eight countries to better understand the challenges they face when seeking out climate-health financing, and what they think should be prioritised to help them in addressing those challenges.
The interview found common challenges to accessing financing, including coordination between ministries, difficulty costing climate and health solutions, lack of awareness across both technical and political leads, and omission of health in national climate policies.
The findings were released at the World Health Organization’s Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health Annual Meeting in March 2024.
