Reuse / Recycle Orthopaedic Air Walking Boot

Orthopaedics and MSK departments use a lot of these boots annually. The majority of the boot is hard plastic and some is foam/fabric material. All of these are binned at the end of their use and I wondered whether they could be refurbished/ reused. Does anyone have any experience of this?
