I thought this was really interseting - most of the reporting on the impact of economy shutdowns have understandably focussed on air quality - this looks at reductions in road traffic injuries:

Thanks Anna, wow the numbers are huge - 6000 injuries or fatalities due to road traffic collisions avoided per month - how does that compare to Covid morbidity/deaths in California?
I was also struck by this article about how "Milan is to introduce one of Europe’s most ambitious schemes reallocating street space from cars to cycling and walking, in response to the coronavirus crisis":
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/21/milan-seeks-to-prevent-po…
I so hope we can use this crisis to change transport infrastructure and habits - the benefits to public health (via air quality, physical activity, road traffic injuries) could be huge.
