At BPR Medical are working in the UK with new technology from our partner in Sweden, Medclair, to safely capture, remove and destroy N20 (Nitrous Oxide or Entonox) from the environment.
Midwives in UK can make an impact on emissions from from Nitrous Oxide programs. So can other healthcare professionals if they use destruction technology before they release this greenhouse gas to our environment.
We were recently inited to speak at the London Maternity & Midwifery Festival about how midwives can support a more sustainable healthcare system by capturing and destroying the exhaled gas from patients.
A mobile Nitrous Oxide Destruction Unit (MDU) in the hands of midwives can destroy in CO2 footprint equal to removing 275 cars from our roads.
