Hi all!
Starting us off with some examples of sustainability in action. Here's a recent news story from a hospice:
https://www.inyourarea.co.uk/news/recycling-for-a-reason-how-ellenor-is…
And here's some interesting reading- Marie Curie's Environmental Policy: https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/who/plans-reports-policies/ethical-statem…
So much to start talking about!
What steps has your palliative care organisation taken towards more sustainable practice? What are the barriers to doing more?
We're not buying artificial trees for our wards this year. Instead we've asked the kids at our Nursery to make sustainable Xmas decorations (using recycled cardboard) to make the wards look festive!
