I am a neuroradiologist, becoming ever so worried about the unsustainibility of imaging in universal heath care systems, and about the low impact of our work on outcomes, and the increasing impact on climate change.

Hi everyone, it is very nice to see that others are worried about this too. We are running a project at the moment (at The Christie in Manchester) to estimate the carbon footprint of the radiotherapy pathway which also includes some imaging (CT, CBCT and maybe MR). The hope is that this will enable us to find the "hotspots" within the pathway so that we can reduce the footprint of those parts first.
