Volunteer for the NHS Forest

We’re looking for volunteers to support the NHS Forest.

There are two key areas where we need support – mapping and engagement.

If you would like work with us to deliver our mission of developing green spaces for health and biodiversity on healthcare sites then please get in touch.

Green Space for Health Mapping Volunteer

Volunteer with the Green Space for Health team to map healthcare sites at the ICS level and help identify potential woodland and biodiversity opportunities. This will support our engagement with estate and sustainability teams for more green space projects. 

Timeframe: July 2024 – December 2024

We are flexible with time commitments. This can be discussed during an informal chat about the opportunity. 

What we need:

  • People with a strong understanding of GIS software and its various tools for data manipulation, analysis and visualisation
  • Applicants should have access to ArcGIS software

Green Space for Health Engagement Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers to support us in creating surveys and consultation sessions to gain valuable insights into shaping our nature-based interventions training programme and ensuring it meets the needs of healthcare professionals.

Timeframe: August 2024 – November 2024

We are flexible with time commitments. This can be discussed during an informal chat about the opportunity. 

What we need:

  • People who are interested in healthcare and nature-based interventions
  • Some experience with creating surveys and delivering information gathering activities online
