I've just joined this network and would like to introduce myself.

I currently work as an Expert by Experience for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT). I am also completing an MA Sustainable Design at Brighton University. I've been able to combine these activities working on projects relating to green social prescribing, naturalising hospital grounds, and improving people participation within SPFT. Related to my previous career, I still continue to work as a garden designer focusing on eco-design and sustainable garden design projects.

Hi Gabriel, welcome!

Hi Gabriel, welcome!

I work for the NHS Greener team in SE region (which includes Sussex Partnership) and am supporting with their patient engagement projects. I would love to hear more about what your MA is about, and your experiences as an Expert by Experience in this field!

I presume you are well linked with the sustainability team at Sussex already, but if you'd like to chat happy I'd be happy to hear more about the work you do:

Best wishes,

Hi Gabriel, great to have you here, and to hear about your work. SPFT is a member of the NHS Forest network, so we have worked with them in the past.

Hi Gabriel,

Great to have you in the network! I work at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare alongside Vicki Brown who posted a reply to you earlier.

Just to mention that you can find a host of information on the NHS Forest website, which is soon to be relaunched so do check back over the next few weeks as we'll be including lots of new material there.

There are already presentations from our annual conference held last autumn on the website, focusing on an equitable recovery for people and nature:

There is also a lot of green space info on the main CSH website including:

green social prescribing:

A series of blogs from our Observer role at COP26 including one on nature, but do also scan through the other blogs

Conference material on Transforming Mental Health and Dementia provision through the Natural Environment  click through to presentations

Materials and case studies on Green Walking for Mental Health Recovery

We also run courses on Sustainable Healthcare including one on Green Space & Health
